Overview

The Kuari Pass Trek, also known as the Lord Curzon Trail, is one of the most renowned treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region and is highly recommended for beginners. With an average elevation of 3,650 meters, this trek begins from Auli and spans 6 - 7 days. The journey provides an escape from the daily hustle and bustle, offering breathtaking views of lush meadows framed by towering Himalayan peaks.

The traditional route, once traveled by Lord Curzon in 1905, passes through the gentle meadows of Auli at 2,450 meters before ascending to Khulara, situated at 3,225 meters. The trek meanders through enchanting forests of oak, deodar, maple, and chestnut, abundant with birdlife, eventually reaching Tali before camping at the Khulara site. The trail gradually climbs over smaller and larger peaks, leading to the challenging yet rewarding summit of Kuari Pass. From the top, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of majestic peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Changbang, and many more.

A unique highlight of the Kuari Pass Trekking Tour is the opportunity to meet local shepherds and experience their traditional lifestyle. The trek continues through picturesque villages like Tugasi and Karchi, finally descending to Dhak, beautifully positioned at 2,000 meters.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable journey, beginners receive a short course on climbing techniques before commencing the trek. During summer and autumn, trekkers can capture some of the best Himalayan panoramas.
