Overview

The Kasturi Orar Round Trek promises a series of unique Himalayan experiences, each day unfolding a new chapter of adventure. It stands out as one of the most captivating treks in Sikkim, looping around the renowned Goechala trail and venturing into remote, lesser-known valleys. This trek strikes a perfect balance between scenic views and wilderness, showcasing Sikkim's stunning landscapes. From the mossy forests of Yuksom to the wooden bridges over the Prekchu River, from the rhododendron slopes of Tsokha to the expansive alpine plateaus of Dzongri, each place on this trek in Sikkim is a revelation.

This demanding journey covers nearly 120 km of rugged trekking trails. As the trail ascends towards Thansing and Lamuney, trekkers are welcomed into the heart of the high Himalayas, walking among towering peaks like Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Tinchenkhang, and Jopuno. The sunrise from the Goechala viewpoint, casting a golden hue on the mountains, is a moment of sheer breathtaking beauty. The route then leads to Lampokhari and Kasturi, areas known for their solitude, clear lakes, and sweeping views of the eastern Himalayas, promising more awe-inspiring scenes.

For trekkers seeking a challenging, scenic, and less-crowded Himalayan adventure, the Kasturi Orar Round Trek is a journey that rewards with a sense of accomplishment. It is one of the most fulfilling trails in Sikkim, offering a unique blend of adventure, tranquillity, and stunning mountain scenery.
