Wake up to a refreshing mountain morning and gear up for a full-day exploration of Gangtok. After allocating bikes, begin your sightseeing tour covering popular attractions such as Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Dro-Dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, and Banjhakri Falls. You may choose to trek up to Hanuman Tok, browse through colorful local markets, taste authentic Sikkimese delicacies, or simply relax and absorb the peaceful vibes of the city. After breakfast, leave Gangtok behind and begin your journey toward the quiet mountain village of Lachen. On the way, stop in Mangan for permit checks, then continue driving through scenic landscapes to Chungthang—a picturesque town located at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung rivers, forming the mighty Teesta. From here, begin the ascent to Lachen, the gateway to Gurudongmar Lake. The terrain becomes rugged and the altitude rises, so take your time to acclimatize. Overnight stay in Lachen.
Start early and head towards the awe-inspiring Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world. The North Sikkim Plateau offers stunning views and an otherworldly landscape. Today's adventure takes you to the ethereal Yumthang Valley and Zero Point. Expect snow - clad surroundings, winding roads, and - if the weather permits - magical views of frozen or half-frozen streams. Warm clothing is essential due to extremely cold temperatures. After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to Nathula Pass, located near the Indo-China border. Capture stunning photos of snow-covered peaks and rugged mountain terrain. After exploring the area, return to Gangtok for an overnight stay.
